I’ve been working on an idea for a machine that would allow me to ‘print’ or ‘plot’ vector files (.SVG from Inkscape/Illustrator) directly onto dolloar tree foam board a.k.a. Adams Rediboard. Initially this is to help me create my own RC aircraft designs and build them. However secondary uses could be for other type of models, like architectural, school projects, and even a stylized artwork.

Currently it’s all in my head or as you can see, sketched out. I still have to figure out the technical aspects such as controlling the stepper motors and how to convert the .SVG data to something that could be sent to a device like this.
